The move to the south is on!  We have taken our first look at some property in Tennessee and we found some areas that  fit our needs.  The trick will be to find the right amount of land to build another Krusekontrol Kompound.  The Pigeon Forge region is where we think we might land based on what we have seen so far.   I would also like to remind everyone that the Buggynut site will be changed at some point, with a new look and layout, It will match our new home somewhere in Tennessee.

Things are getting back to normal in the northeast after another 100 year flood.  The funny thing is, the last 100 yr flood was in 2006.  I guess Mother Nature didn't want to wait that long.

Many people took major hits this time with the loss of everything they owned.  A few days after the flood we were able to get a few photos.

We have finally broken ground on our race track and we are getting our buggies back in shape for our next big buggy bash.  We expect to have one or two smaller Buggy BBQ's at the Krusekontrol Kompound before our planned Fall event.

We hope to see many of our fellow buggynuts join us when the track and club house are complete.

You can see some of the work on the Buggynut channel

There have been some changes with some MBRA groups and they are all good.  In Iowa, Justin Miller of the NWBRA group has been working with his state representatives  on some new OHV parks and things are looking good.  In the Northeast Vincent Kruse of SMBA has wrapped up everything for their new headquarters next to the KruseKontrol Kompound and the work will begin in about 2 weeks.    Here are some pix of the trailer on the new property.

We sent my son out to stand guard just in case anyone shows up uninvited.   The interior of the trailer does need some TLC but I think it should look pretty good when where done.  The Kitchen still has a sink left but the cabinets are a total loss.  The bathroom just needs a lot of cleaning and we think the pipes are still good since the trailer was taken care of for the long winters. The water heater and electrical seem ok so once we get the power on we can start setting up the rooms for our buggy guests.   Think we'll add a Buggy Bar for the after hours recreation.  Just remember once the Buggy bar is open the trails are closed.

We'll see you all at the next buggy rally.

We finally closed on the addition for the KruseKontrol Kompound.  It was a long and frustrating wait but it's finally over.   In the Spring we will start making the repairs needed on the trailer home that sits on the property.  We are not sure of the final design but we have plenty of people involved to help us with the property.  The one thing we do know is it will be a type of clubhouse / bunk house for our guest during events held on our property.  Video and pix we be posted soon.

December 31 2010
Another crazy buggy year gone and the buggy world continues to grow across the country.  Many of the Buggynews.com members are upgrading their buggies for the 2011 bash and is looks like it's going to be a total Monster Buggy Bash.

The Krusekontrol camp has made their final selections for all the changes needed on the UFB's while some Joyner owners are dropping some major fire power in their buggies.  A few more crazy crossfires are expected to show up in 2011 including Mudbugs 500cc 4X4.

Another crazy buggy build where hoping to see will come from Iowa, thanks to the motorheads of Midwest Buggy Riders (MWBRA) Association.  This build is being kept a little quiet but is sure to shock everyone if it's completed in time.

The latest update on the krusekontrol Kompound is a little over due.  With all the people refinancing out there things are a little backed up but all looks good so far for the additional acres.  The next big ticket will be the bulldozer, still trying to work out a good deal to get a machine up here.  With a little luck we might wrap this up before the next snow. Maybe a little test race is in the cards to see how the new race track works out.

August 29 2010
The last Figure 8 race for the Crazy Caddy was pretty good.  Although Mad Mark finished 4th it was still an excellent show for a car that was slapped together overnight with no additional funds for suspension.  The Crazy Caddy was all over the track as the nutty driver never took his foot off the gas.  The Danger zone had a few close calls but those with a little sanity found their brakes pretty quick while Mad Mark drove as though he had no breaks.

July 29 2010
The Krusekontrol Kompound is about to expand.  An additional 3 acres for the purpose of staging and parking of trucks and trailers.  This addition will also be used as an entry point for the track and trail system.  We'll keep you guys posted as the money starts to move.

July 24 2010
The MBRA brings on our next group from the Midwest.  The Midwest Buggy Riders Association (MWBRA) is a great opportunity for the continued expansion of the MBRA across the country.  We look forward to working with Justin and his group.

July - 24hr Emergency Build!
It was a typical Friday night  at the Kompound when Mad Mark decided to mix things up a bit.  He pulled in about 7PM and asked krusekontrol if he was up for a 24hr build for an up coming figure 8 race.  Well we all know how this turned out.  Lots of loud noise and beer to keep things moving along.  As the build progressed through the night we were limited to the tools we could and the noise we could make so we took a short break at about 4am.

Mad Mark and Tom had work on Saturday so krusekontrol kept the build going as soon as the sun came up. Some broken tools and  no new blades or grinding wheels it really began to slow things down.   Luckly Tammy was able to jump in and bring in the supplies we needed to wrap this puppy up.  At about 3PM Mark and Tom were back in the game and we had less then 1 hour to go. It was close. a video of this build and the races will be ready in 2 weeks.

July 4 2010
Well it came and went with lots of fun.  Kids in the pool and motorheads in the man cave.  Like many weekends on the Kompound is was a blast and we finished it off with a nice fireworks show.

The 2010 National Bash
As always the Buggynews National was great and seems to get better every year. The Krusekontrol Camp had more then it's share of breaks.  Although these breakdowns were not as bad as some of the more famous ones like TeamHog breaking his Ydog into 2 separate pieces  they will certainly be in the top ten for now.  To read more about the 2010 National just pop over to http://buggynews.com

6/20/10
The trip begins pretty good but the full run took a serious toll on Mad Mark and Krusekontrol on the drive down.  With little sleep and a few extreme rain storms to deal with the ride down had a few stressful moments but was still worth the trip.

6/19/10
The krusekontrol kompound is still working around the clock to get the buggies ready for the 2010 national bash.  We had an engine failure on UFB 001. When we located another engine our problems just got worse.  We had to redesign the swing arm from scratch to hold the new engine and we also had to pull the engine apart and make several repairs to get it running.

4/27/10
The MBRA has added a new group in VA.  Buggy Addicted Drivers look for them soon.

Just a sneak peak at the UFB 001.

  3/28/2010
Just a quick update on some of the UFB Projects.  UFB 001 is getting her final touch ups this week and will be ready for the national rally.  UFB 002 is right behind  her with final paint and lights ready the following week and UFB 003 will have the hubs in on Wed so we can wrap up the design on the new trailing arms.

We would also like to mention another MBRA group may be starting soon in VA. We'll keep you all posted as soon as we get them up and running.

  3/18/2010

The 2010 MBRA Groups are slowly putting things together for the spring and summer. DUNE is leading the way with several buggies ready for MBRA racing and games.

The new rules of the MBRA are making things a lot easier for the groups to mix and match different buggies and DUNE is jumping all over the new setup.  DUNE will be running the first extreme class of buggies in the MBRA and are working designing a small track to put these monsters to the test.

  3/18/2010

BOG is another MBRA group starting up in PA, this group will also have is own small track for grpoup members.  BOG will be geared more towards ther MBRA Buggy Games and will limit the racing on their private track.

  3/18/2010

FFMB is the first FL group and is expected to move quickly on both gaming and racing.  Although their riding areas are limited this group has no problem going a few extra miles for a good old fashion buggy rally.
